This means you get a quick response to any burning issues that come up, but you also have me on hand for anything more complex you want to manage.

I need a people strategy

As a growing business, you’re going to want to think about your people strategy, just as you plan out your sales and marketing strategies. Your people are the heart of your business and are there to help you expand, so having a strategy that has them at the centre is really important!

From people development to identifying and managing talent, plus proactive planning for people leaving your business through retirement and resignations, this is vital to ensure your business is future-fit and fully compliant with ACAS guidance.

You don’t want to be panicking if one of your key people decides to hand their notice in, so working with me to put practical actions in place to engage and retain people first and foremost, but also having a plan in place for what you will do if you do lose people, will give you peace of mind and, importantly, will give your people direction and purpose for their careers with you.

I can work with you on the following, and more, by coming into your business regularly, or we can work together remotely and I can send you updates for your review and development.

  • Change management
  • Expansion/Restructuring
  • Talent management
  • Performance management
  • Succession planning
  • Appraisals and performance management
  • Employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Longer-term strategic planning
  • Redundancy

How I'm helping my clients...

Technology Company, Cambridge

A growing technology business in Cambridge contacted me asking for support in getting a set of mandatory HR policies in place.  I met with the management team, and in discussion with them we agreed that I would also review some documentation they already had in place, including their appraisal form, employee handbook and job offer and contract paperwork.

I also created a Health & Safety policy and reviewed their information on security policy, providing recommendations to ensure it was compliant with GDPR.

What my clients are saying

“Pip was commissioned to produce a set of statutory policies, and in discussion with her we also asked her to review some of our current HR documentation and other policies too.

I have personally been extremely happy with what you have produced, the speed of delivery, and how you’ve led us through the whole thing, taking the initiative when asked – this was exactly what we needed. I have found the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.”

Dr A L O
Head of Product

“We had a People Strategy session with Pip and it was honestly one of the best things I ever did. It allowed me to clearly see the people and skills we have, along with any gaps in expertise, plus planning for growth. I finished the session with a map for the culture and people of the business to run alongside the business strategy plan …worth it in every way!”
